Data Logger Installation

Temperature and humidity are crucial environmental factors to track for optimized plant growth. Without effective temperature and humidity control, the chance of developing diseases rises.

Comparable budget conventional monitoring systems cost over $100, which is unavailable to economically disadvantaged farmers in countries such as Uganda and Ecuador.

This product will allow for the low-cost monitoring of the aforementioned variables, ensuring an optimal crop yield for greenhouse farmers. The project employed an EEPROM, which serves as an affordable option to store data, and an Arduino Uno board. To save energy costs, the data is collected every hour, and the Arduino sleeps meanwhile. The product is one of the projects with Echo Global Farm, a seeds company that envisions zero hunger by teaching small-scale, sustainable farming techniques.
